Job description

About this role

You're the person who turns a signed deal into a live, working customer. You'll be the primary (and sometimes only) point of contact through onboarding — sitting in IT and operations meetings, gathering customer data, configuring the system, and making sure everything works before hand-off.

This isn't a customer success role and it isn't a pure engineering role. You're a scrappy problem-solver who uses AI tools (Claude Code, internal onboarding skills) to implement configurations, troubleshoot issues, and get customers live.

Role Overview:

  • Title: Founding Implementation Engineer
  • Location: Remote (US-based, requires travel 0-2x/month domestically and 1 week/quarter onsite in NY or SF)
  • Salary Range: $160K - $185K (Based on experience and qualifications)
  • Equity: Competitive
  • Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own customer onboarding end-to-end: From signed deal to production launch, setting agendas, leading calls, and owning follow-ups.
  2. Gather and translate customer data: Collect and map recipes, menus, and operational data into the system.
  3. Configure and deploy using AI tools: Use Claude Code and existing onboarding skills for customer setups.
  4. Build and maintain RPAs: Create and troubleshoot automations for distributor integrations.
  5. Troubleshoot issues: Dig into problems, test workflows, and find root causes.
  6. Travel on-site when needed: Visit customer sites for installations and troubleshooting.
  7. Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders: Communicate effectively with IT directors and kitchen managers.
  8. Feed learnings back to improve processes and tools.
