GCP Data Engineer

About the role

Build and enhance the data pipelines and models that support risk and compliance reporting across the enterprise.

Tasks

• Evaluate data requirements and stories, document them for integration into existing architectures, and maintain data models
• Build and enhance data pipelines and database designs to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
• Participate in design reviews and testing, and support the production environment
• Operate data assets according to consistent standards, guidelines, and policies
• Implement partitioning and indexing solutions for Big Data requirements
• Collaborate with product and business teams to align technology work with business objectives

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of data engineering experience
• Hands-on GCP experience across BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Functions
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
• Understanding of data modeling principles and techniques
• Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts and practices
• US Citizen, GC, H4 EAD, OPT EAD
