GCP Generalist

About the role

Supporting the Atlas GCP program.

Tasks

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex GCP platform issues across multiple workstreams.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with GCP IAM, resource hierarchy, organization policies, networking, and logging.
• Build and improve AI agent frameworks, prompts, skills, evaluations, and guardrails.
• Leverage agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot Agent Mode.
• Identify recurring issues and develop reusable modules, standards, and solutions.
• Support security, risk, and compliance assessments across GCP environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve code quality, testing, and automation.
• Track dependencies, maintain JIRA and Confluence documentation, and prepare technical decision notes.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong Terraform and Python development skills.
• Experience with GCP IAM, Organization Policies, Networking, and Logging.
• Practical experience using agentic coding tools for multi-step engineering tasks.
• Strong Git, CI/CD, code review, and enterprise engineering experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and collaborate across teams.
