Job description
About the role
Subicdock is looking for a general laborer / helper to support ship repair and construction activities in the shipyard industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled workers, including welders, fitters, painters and mechanics.
- Carry and move materials, tools and equipment.
- Clean work areas by removing rust, debris and scrap metal.
- Perform basic tasks such as grinding, sanding and painting.
- Follow safety procedures at all times.
- Support ship repair and construction activities.
- Monitor fire hazards during welding as part of firewatch duties.
- Assist in rigging and lifting operations.
- Perform general cleanup and work preparation.
Requirements
- High school graduate; undergraduates are welcome.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy work and outdoor conditions.
- Willing to work shifts or overtime.
- Basic safety knowledge is an advantage.
- Willing to work in a shipyard environment.
- Requirements: SSS, PhilHealth, Tin, Pag-IBIG (HDMF), valid ID, and NBI or Police Clearance.
