Genesis Operations Support Engineer

About the role

Support and enhance highly available production systems across bare-metal and cloud environments.

Tasks

• Manage Linux servers, bare-metal infrastructure, and server lifecycle operations.
• Perform server provisioning using PXE/iPXE, DHCP, IPMI, Redfish, iDRAC, and iLO.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
• Monitor system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, and ELK.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, networking, storage, databases, and application deployments.
• Handle P1/P2 production incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive actions.
• Implement SRE practices, maintain SLIs/SLOs, and reduce repetitive operational tasks (TOIL).
• Support end users, maintain operational documentation, and participate in on-call and scheduled datacenter activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Production Support, Infrastructure, or Systems Administration.
• Strong hands-on Linux administration and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with bare-metal infrastructure and server provisioning.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, or Go.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and networking.
• Strong communication, incident management, and problem-solving skills.
