Interim Head Start Director

PerryAyz Foundation, NFP is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to provide leadership and oversight for our Migrant & Seasonal Head Start Program.

Position begins August 20, 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Administration, Human Services, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of preschool/Head Start management experience.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, budget, and federal compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Direct and manage all Head Start operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Supervise management staff.
• Oversee budgets, enrollment, attendance, and reporting.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors, Policy Committee, and others.
• Lead program planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
