Java Backend Developer

About the role

Build scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise applications and backend services.

Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services, APIs, and enterprise applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Develop backend services, business logic, and RESTful APIs using Java.
• Build and maintain Spring-based applications and service integrations.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable backend components.
• Implement persistence layers using Hibernate/JPA and optimized SQL queries.
• Develop reusable modules and support asynchronous workflows.
• Write unit and integration tests using appropriate testing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot production issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews and follow secure coding standards.
• Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, and development teams.
• Support application configuration, deployment, and release processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in Hibernate/JPA and relational databases.
• Understanding of microservices and backend integration patterns.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
• Knowledge of backend security, authentication, and authorization.
• Preferred: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
• Preferred: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Preferred: Redis, Ehcache, or oth
