Junior Platform Engineer

About the role

Support and maintain reliable enterprise platforms.

Tasks

• Administer, monitor, and support hybrid cloud infrastructure across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Support data platform components, including Databricks, dbt, Apache Airflow, and AutoSys.
• Investigate incidents across cloud, network, compute, storage, and data platform environments.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Shell scripting, Terraform, and CI/CD practices.
• Monitor platform health, performance, alerts, logs, and scheduled jobs.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change activities using ServiceNow and Jira.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, security remediation, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Create and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with DevOps, data engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to improve platform reliability.

Requirements

• 4–7 Years
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, dbt, Apache Airflow, and AutoSys.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Harness, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Monitoring and logging experience with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, Splunk, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, IAM/RBAC, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Exposure to LASR, Caspian, Dremio, or Analytics Platform System (APS).
• Knowledge of secure file transfer platforms such as Globalscape EFT and Connect.
