Job description
James Ito is seeking a motivated Junior Web Developer / Junior Software Developer for a full-time role building and maintaining websites and applications. The position is described as fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using HTML and related web technologies.
- Work with senior developers to debug and troubleshoot design and functionality issues.
- Help deliver website enhancements and new features informed by user feedback and development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, share constructive feedback, and learn from teammates.
- Coordinate with project managers to understand requirements, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Join daily stand-ups and team meetings to share progress and set priorities.
- Build technical skills through online learning, workshops, and ongoing practice.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Web development bootcamp certification or equivalent training.
- Proficiency in HTML; CSS and JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and collaborative working skills.
- Preferred: 1–2 years of experience with web development projects, including informal projects.
Team and Work Environment
You will report to the Lead Developer and work closely with developers and designers in a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration with marketing and product teams.
