Job description
Full time position; may require some evenings and weekends. The Library Director shall supervise the established policies and operational procedures associated with the proper conduct of a public library.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Combination of 2 years administrative or management/supervisory experience and training which provides relevant expertise performing the varied duties of the position as preferred.
• The ability to perform highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge and its application.
• The willingness and ability to learn and apply new knowledge and skills for the library.
Under the direct supervision of the public library board of trustees, the library director is responsible for the operations of the library and the development and implementation of its service program.
