Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, and Physical Therapy. Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations. Review patient status and assist with obtaining patient information. Obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients. Support the Pre-Surgical Screening program by obtaining vital signs, lab specimens/venipuncture, and EKGs. Prepare specimens for the laboratory and ensure proper handoff to the courier. Assist with efficient patient flow and provide excellent customer service. Assist physicians with treatments and procedures and ensure physician orders are completed promptly. Perform cast removal, suture and staple removal, and application of off-the-shelf braces. Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-focused environment. Demonstrate sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity. Work effectively as part of a supportive, team-oriented environment. Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, Current NY State LPN license and registration, BLS certification – American Heart Association.
