We are looking for an experienced MapKit Native (iOS) Engineer to join Apple’s Maps Developer Platform team in Austin, TX.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in native iOS development, API design, and Apple platform technologies, contributing to scalable APIs, developer tools, and mapping features within the Apple Maps ecosystem.
🔹 Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain native iOS APIs and developer tools.Build mapping features using Apple Maps and native iOS frameworks.Collaborate with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams.Contribute to system architecture, API design, testing, and implementation.Develop, launch, and maintain production-quality software components.
🔹 Required Skills
✅ Strong proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C
✅ Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit
✅ Strong understanding of system architecture and API design
✅ Professional experience in production software development
✅ Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining critical software components
✅ Strong problem-solving and communication skills
🔹 Preferred QualificationsExperience with native iOS frameworks, SDKs, APIs, or developer tools.Knowledge of unit testing and testable code.Familiarity with GIS or spatial visualization technologies.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
📌 Important Requirements
Must be available to work onsite in Austin, TX, five days per week.
Shortlisted candidates must attend an in-person interview at Apple’s Austin office.
Visa-independent candidates are preferred.
