Material Flow Engineer

Tasks

• Design and optimize end-to-end warehouse and material flow systems.
• Perform buffer analysis, lineside planning, finished goods buffer planning, and aisle optimization.
• Design and deploy automated material handling systems, including AGV, AMR, AGC, conveyors, VRC, robotics, and ASRS.
• Develop capacity, throughput, and resource utilization models.
• Lead equipment evaluation, vendor selection, RFQs, procurement, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
• Build Discrete Event Simulation (DES) models using FlexSim or equivalent tools.
• Integrate automation systems with PLC, MES, and WMS platforms.
• Drive continuous improvement using OEE, throughput, downtime, and other manufacturing KPIs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in material flow, manufacturing automation, or material handling engineering.
• Hands-on expertise in AGV/AMR/AGC, conveyors, robotics, and ASRS.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and FlexSim or equivalent simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse design, buffer planning, PFEP, JIT, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC/MES/WMS integration, project management, and equipment commissioning.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards and manufacturing process optimization.
• Preferred: Python, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Preferred: Digital twins, IoT-enabled automation, and predictive optimization.
• Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification.
• Preferred: Experience in battery manufacturing, energy storage, or high-tech manufacturing.
