Member of Technical Staff – Full-Stack/AI Engineering

About the role

We are seeking talented Members of Technical Staff to join Basis, a fast-growing technology company building advanced AI-powered systems.

Tasks

• Drive the technical vision and development of innovative products.
• Architect and develop scalable front-end applications and backend APIs.
• Build AI-powered agents, intelligent systems, and automation solutions.
• Design agent platforms, data pipelines, evaluation systems, and infrastructure.
• Develop solutions for managing AI agent context, tools, and long-running tasks.
• Collaborate with product teams to understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through development and deployment.
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.

Requirements

• 5–15 years of experience building and delivering full-stack software products.
• Undergraduate degree from a globally recognized Top 40 University
• Previous Software Engineering experience at a fast-paced Series A–D startup or quantitative hedge fund such as Citadel or Two Sigma.
• Proven experience building products from 0 to 1.
• Strong expertise in at least one full-stack programming language.
• Excellent product mindset, technical judgment, and good design sense.
• Ability to adapt quickly and select the best technologies to solve complex problems.
• Strong project ownership and a track record of career progression.
• Passion for Artificial Intelligence, innovative product development, and solving complex engineering challenges.

Schedule

• 100% On-site (5 days per week)

Pay

• $150,000 – $350,000
