Mid-Level Litigation Associate

About the role

The role focuses on litigation in both plaintiff and defense matters, together with substantive employer and employee counseling.

Tasks

• Manage cases and discrete litigation components with increasing independence
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery & substantive briefs
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Appear at hearings, mediations & settlement conferences
• Provide strategic litigation and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees
• Conduct workplace investigations and internal assessments
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel & agency representatives

Requirements

• 3–6 years of employment litigation experience in state and/or federal court
• Plaintiff and defense-side experience preferred
• Experience with dispositive motions & discovery management
• Strong research, writing & analytical skills
• Working knowledge of California employment statutes & civil procedure
• Active California Bar membership, or ability to obtain admission promptly

Schedule

• Full-time
• Hybrid flexibility consistent with client and practice needs

Pay

• $175,000 DOE
