About the role
The Imagine Group, An Imagine Company is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, administer, secure, and optimize enterprise database platforms, with a primary focus on MongoDB hosted on Azure. The role includes MongoDB architecture, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and operational support.
The role also calls for working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and CI/CD practices to collaborate with development teams, support application integrations, and contribute to automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support MongoDB databases hosted in Azure environments.
- Design and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure MongoDB architectures.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management.
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, backup, and recovery activities.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in production environments.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and operational standards for MongoDB platforms.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with application development teams utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
- Support database integration for microservices and API-based applications.
- Assist with CI/CD pipeline implementations involving database deployments and schema changes.
- Contribute to automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
