Network Security Engineer – Atlanta, Georgia

Anuradha Sooriya is hiring a full-time Network Security Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia. In this on-site role, you will help protect the organization’s network infrastructure and data while supporting reliable, secure network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure network solutions using TCP/IP, routing, and switching technologies.
• Manage and maintain Palo Alto next-generation firewalls (NGFW) and Zscaler ZIA/ZPA security tools.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, availability, and security issues.
• Apply Zero Trust, SASE, and SSE concepts to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
• Use Python, Ansible, or Terraform to automate network operations and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and other cross-functional teams to address security concerns and implement best practices.
• Assess network security controls regularly and recommend improvements.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Experience with Palo Alto NGFW and Zscaler ZIA/ZPA technologies.
• Strong network troubleshooting and monitoring skills.
• Understanding of Zero Trust architecture and SASE/SSE principles.
• Familiarity with Python, Ansible, or Terraform for automation.
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and is not remote eligible. You will work with network and cybersecurity teams and interact with senior network staff and management to identify and proactively mitigate risks.
