Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, following quality control requirements and radiation safety protocols.
- Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review patient data and imaging results.
- Document patient interactions and imaging results accurately and promptly in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor patients for reactions to radiopharmaceuticals and respond to adverse effects.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and staff training to maintain standards of care.
- Stay current with nuclear medicine technology and contribute to departmental improvement initiatives.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technology certification from a recognized professional body, such as ARRT or NMTCB.
- Proficiency with nuclear medicine software and imaging tools.
- One to three years of clinical nuclear medicine experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and patient care standards.
