Role Description The Nurse Practitioner – Functional Medicine will provide direct patient care, including comprehensive assessments including functional lab interpretations and personalized treatment plans grounded in functional medicine principles. This part-time, on-site role is located in the City of Falls Church, in Fairfax County, VA and involves conducting follow-up visits, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting care plans as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include documenting encounters in the medical record, collaborating with other clinicians, and educating patients on lifestyle, nutrition, and preventive strategies. The Nurse Practitioner will also support practice protocols, maintain regulatory and safety standards, and contribute to the refinement of clinical workflows and patient education materials.QualificationsActive Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Virginia and national board certification; eligibility to practice in an outpatient setting.Clinical experience in functional medicine, integrative medicine, primary care, or internal medicine, with strong skills in patient assessment and diagnostic reasoning.Ability to develop individualized treatment plans, including lifestyle, nutrition, and supplement recommendations supported by current evidence.Experience in IV starts or mixing, hormone optimization, and regenerative therapies preferred but not required.Proficiency in electronic health records, clear clinical documentation, and strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, including active listening, shared decision-making, and health coaching.A collaborative spirit and a desire to provide patients with a premium, personalized experience.
