Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Boston, MA

Nexa Staffing Solutions is hiring a Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse (RN) in Boston, Massachusetts. This part-time, non-remote opportunity offers a starting rate of $50 per hour, with per diem and bundle opportunities available.

Position Summary

Provide safe, skilled, and compassionate post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients recovering from surgery in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor airways, vital signs, consciousness, pain, and overall recovery.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Manage post-operative pain, nausea, and other recovery needs.
• Evaluate readiness for discharge or transfer using facility criteria.
• Communicate with families and receiving care teams.
• Document patient care accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, safe, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least one year of RN work experience.
• Current BLS certification; PALS certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Pediatric PACU, perioperative, or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet facility requirements for background and health screening and onboarding documentation. Additional vaccination or testing requirements may apply.
