Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers through the permit application process, verifying all requirements are fulfilled.
• Manage and track permit applications using Accela Software.
• Provide expert guidance on the Brevard County Code of Ordinances to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to streamline the Public Works Process.
• Respond promptly to public inquiries regarding permit statuses and requirements.
• Maintain precise records and documentation related to permits.
• Engage in team meetings to address challenges and improve permit workflows.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Minimum two years of college coursework in Public Administration, Business Administration, Construction, or related fields.
• Skills: Strong customer service, planning and development knowledge, proficiency with Brevard County Code of Ordinances, experience using Accela Software, and understanding of Public Works processes.
• Preferred: Prior experience in a similar public sector or local government role.
