Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Spring Hill, FL. As a key player in the healthcare industry, you will be an integral part of our pharmacy facility, ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medication per physician prescriptions, verifying accuracy and completeness of orders. Assist in managing inventory, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies. Provide excellent patient interaction, addressing questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy. Conduct medication reconciliation and assist in health screenings as required. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and pharmacy audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in medication preparation and patient interaction is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients and healthcare team members. Knowledge of pharmacy software and medication management systems is a plus. Industry-standard certifications such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification are preferred. Prior experience of 1-2 years in a pharmacy setting is a plus. Our Pharmacy Technicians work within a collaborative team structure, reporting directly to the Pharmacist.
