Plant Manager

Movement Search & Delivery is conducting a confidential search for a Plant Manager with a client company that is a global supplier to the automotive, aerospace, and defense markets. This direct-hire position is based around Traverse City, MI. The role partners with the leadership team to translate business strategy into action and drive business results for this key location. It is a high-profile position offering an opportunity for continued advancement.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations and performance as a member of the leadership team.
• Lead the plant team in meeting monthly forecasts and business metrics.
• Develop strategic manufacturing direction and plans for a 1–3 year horizon.
• Direct operational budgets and coordinate capital plans, appropriation requests, and project follow-up.
• Lead manufacturing, environment, health and safety, engineering, quality, human resources, and finance to achieve business objectives.
• Implement quarter-over-quarter improvement strategies.
• Manage day-to-day manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and implement process flow, inventory, and velocity improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Plant Manager and/or Operations Manager.
• Previous P&L responsibility.
• Experience with Toyota Production System and other Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
