Product Development Mechanical Engineer (50064)

Position Summary

We are seeking an engineer that embraces creativity with an innovative mindset to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be working with the Product Development team transforming concepts into tangible prototypes and creating new products and opportunities. We seek breakthroughs that can lead to competitive advantages and market differentiation. The person in this role will tackle complex challenges related to product design, functionality, and feasibility. We are driven to find solutions to technical obstacles and optimize product performance. You will be working with HVAC systems, designing new components, improving energy efficiency, and enhancing overall system performance by conducting research on existing HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build prototypesConduct tests, identifying defects, refining designsEfficiently lead projects from concept to completionPurchase components and new materials to use in existing applicationsCommunicate with vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment neededCreate manufacturing packages including shop drawingsWrite user manuals and assembly instructionsWork hands-on, analyzing products in a manufacturing settingCollaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, manufacturing, and salesWork with listing agencies to ensure products comply to recognized standards

Required

Qualifications & Requirements:

Engineering Degree (BSME or similar)SolidWorks experience2D CAD experience3+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience

Preferred

Experience in the commercial HVAC industry
