Product Development Mechanical Engineer (50064)

About the role

Gradian Thermal Solutions provides custom, engineered air movement and heat exchange solutions for large air handling units. The Product Development team transforms concepts into tangible prototypes and creates new products and opportunities. The role focuses on product design, functionality, feasibility, and performance, including work with HVAC systems and research on existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build prototypes.
• Conduct tests, identify defects, and refine designs.
• Lead projects from concept to completion.
• Purchase components and new materials for existing applications.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain materials or equipment.
• Create manufacturing packages, including shop drawings.
• Write user manuals and assembly instructions.
• Work hands-on analyzing products in a manufacturing setting.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and other cross-functional teams.
• Work with listing agencies to ensure products comply with recognized standards.

Requirements

• Engineering degree, such as a BSME or similar.
• SolidWorks experience.
• 2D CAD experience.
• Preferred: experience in the commercial HVAC industry.
