Program Manager

About the role

Avo Photonics is a contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. The company serves environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications markets. The Program Manager helps support customer service and project success by taking ownership of assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Capture customer requirements and fully define the development effort.
• Review optical, mechanical, and system-level design progress and redirect work as needed to meet customer requirements and standards for innovation, quality, and manufacturability.
• Prepare and present periodic status updates to customers, keep deliverables on track, and communicate schedule changes.
• Ensure each assigned program remains profitable throughout its life cycle, from development through full-scale production.
• Support sales activity with feedback for cost models and quotes, and identify new business opportunities with existing customers alongside sales.
• Support engagement with new and existing customers at trade shows and similar events, as required.
• Oversee program documentation and review and approve quality documents for assigned programs.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Plan your own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and take ownership of projects.
