Project Control Officer

🚨 We’re Hiring | Project Control Officer – Toronto (Hybrid)
I’m looking for an experienced Project Control Officer (PCO) to join a leading Canadian financial institution, supporting Technology Operations, project financial management, and resource governance.
📍 Location: Toronto (Hybrid)
⏳ Contract: 4 months, with potential for extension
💼 Experience: 3–5+ years
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage project financials, including GL reconciliations, accruals, chargebacks, invoice reviews, and forecasting.
* Track actuals vs. budget, investigate variances, and prepare financial reports for senior leadership.
* Support resource allocation, project governance, and financial controls.
* Extract, analyze, and report financial data from various systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across technology portfolios and support process improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ 3–5+ years of experience as an IT Project Coordinator, PCO, or similar role.
✅ Strong project financial management and accounting experience.
✅ Hands-on experience with GL reconciliation, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
✅ Strong Excel skills and ability to manipulate and analyze data.
✅ Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
Nice to Have:
⭐ Previous banking experience, particularly with Eclipse tool (a significant asset).
⭐ Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SharePoint.
⭐ Experience with Jira, Power BI, or Alteryx.
