Python/Full-Stack Developer

About the role

A leading global bank’s Equity Derivatives Technology team is looking for a Python / Full-Stack Developer to support an internal QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategies) platform, where data protection is critical.

Tasks

• Build, enhance and support production-grade Python applications
• Develop Web UI workflows with Streamlit, FastAPI, Flask or Quart
• Refactor legacy code for scalability, security and resilience
• Handle testing, deployments and production support
• Work with Quants, business users and technology teams

Requirements

• Secure handling of sensitive financial and market data
• Access control and role-based permissions in apps and APIs
• Input validation and secure coding (OWASP, SQL injection, XSS prevention)
• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Secrets management: no hardcoded credentials, secure config
• Audit logging and traceability for compliance
• Awareness of banking compliance and data governance standards
• Strong Python, HTML/CSS, API and database integration
• Banking or financial services client experience
• Independent contributor, able to learn a live application quickly
• Equity derivatives / capital markets exposure is a big plus (no pricing models to build)
