QA Automation Engineer

Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Apptio applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate data flows between Apptio and upstream/downstream systems.
• Perform backend testing, SQL queries, and data validation.
• Test REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Develop automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support defect triage.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business teams in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA/testing experience with strong test automation expertise.
• Hands-on experience testing Apptio implementations and applications - a must.
• Knowledge of Apptio data, reporting, workflows, and integrations.
• Strong API testing and SQL/data-validation skills.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and the software testing lifecycle.
• Visa: USC, GC, H4, OPT, L2
