Job description
TekBricks is hiring a detail-oriented QA Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Waxhaw, North Carolina. In this position, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of web and mobile software by testing applications, documenting defects, and working closely with development and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Review requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Run functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve issues.
- Validate fixes and conduct retesting.
- Help ensure software meets quality standards before release.
Requirements
- One to five years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Experience with manual testing tools and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
Pay and employment
Pay: 5000 per month. Schedule: Full time. This position is not remote eligible.
