Job description
TekBricks is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our Waxhaw, North Carolina team. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through manual and automated testing methods.
Responsibilities:
- Understand requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools
- Collaborate closely with development teams to resolve issues effectively
- Validate fixes and conduct re-testing to ensure quality
- Ensure software meets quality standards prior to release
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 1 to 5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Experience with manual testing tools and techniques
- Basic SQL and database knowledge
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
