QA Software Engineer

About the role

Our Client is a Private Ltd. Company providing software development and Back office operations service to USA based clients in Finance Investment Banking domain since last 13 years.

Product: Portfolio management System website. WIth about 200+ web pages and 300 background tasks.

Domain: Investment Banking. BackOffice Operations product for supporting trade life cycle, Profil Loss, Cash, Positions, Broker reconciliations.

Tasks

• Analyse business and functional requirements for OMS, PMS and related trading applications, and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system and user acceptance testing (UAT) across the trade lifecycle: order capture, routing, execution, allocation, booking and settlement.
• Validate portfolio workflows such as positions, holdings, P&L, NAV, rebalancing, compliance rules and reporting.
• Log, track and retest defects, and work closely with developers and business analysts to resolve them.
• Design, build and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API and backend/database testing.
• Automate regression suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Write SQL queries to validate trade, position and reference data across systems.
• Actively use AI tools (for example GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to generate test cases, test data and automation scripts.

• 5 to 10 years.
• BE (Comp Sci/ IT/ Electronics/Electrical) No MCA.
• Manual & Automation Testing (75/25%)
• Strong Communication skills Mandatory.
• Playwright Automation Tool
• VS Code with AI Agent
• C#
• Knowledge of Page Object Model, extent reporting.
