Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
Grounded in CTJC’s mission, vision, and values, the Reentry Community Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening and sustaining CTJC’s reentry ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Programs and Supportive Services, this position focuses on creating, maintaining, and deepening relationships with community-based partners, while identifying and cultivating new partnerships aligned with CTJC’s values and movement goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain partnerships
• Connect participants to resources and services
• Support program outreach and engagement
• Maintain participant records
• Represent CTJC in community spaces
• Collaborate with internal team members on reentry initiatives
• Contribute to the growth and sustainability of CTJC’s reentry program
QUALIFICATIONS
• Lived experience and/or professional experience in reentry, community organizing, or related work
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Knowledge of community resources in Chicago
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to racial, social, and economic justice
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Canva
SCHEDULE
• Part-time - 20 hours per week
• Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday — in office at CTJC
(6337 S. Woodlawn Ave, Chicago, IL 60637)
• Tuesday and Friday — Work from Home
• Some evening and weekend availability may be required
