Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (PICU) – Boston, MA

NEXA Staffing Solutions is hiring a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse in Boston, Massachusetts. This part-time opportunity offers a starting rate of $50 per hour, with per diem and bundle opportunities available.

Position Summary

Provide safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients who need specialized monitoring and critical care in a fast-paced PICU environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and continuously monitor pediatric patients, including vital signs, respiratory status, and changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
• Assist with advanced patient care and critical care interventions.
• Support and educate patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in emergency and rapid response situations as required.
• Promote a safe, positive, patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 1 year of RN work experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or strongly preferred.
• Pediatric, PICU, or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
• Ability to meet facility requirements for background screening, health screening, and onboarding documentation. Additional vaccination or testing requirements may apply under facility policy.

Location and Schedule

Location: Boston, Massachusetts. Part-time role with per diem and bundle opportunities available. This position is not remote.
