Resident Solution Architect (Databricks)

This is a customer-facing consulting role driving enterprise data modernization journeys.

Tasks

• Act as the trusted technical advisor to CDOs, Data Architects, and Engineering leaders.
• Design end-to-end Lakehouse architectures (Ingestion, Medallion layer, Governance, ML).
• Lead EDW modernization and migrations from legacy systems (Hadoop, Teradata, Snowflake, Netezza, etc.) to Databricks.
• Deploy advanced capabilities: Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (LDP), Serverless Compute, Unity Catalog, DAB, and AI/BI workloads.

Requirements

• 8+ Years total (Min 3+ years hands-on with Databricks)
• Proven experience leading 2–3 large-scale enterprise migrations end-to-end.
• Deep expertise in Delta Lake internals (Liquid Clustering, Deletion Vectors), Spark execution model, and Unity Catalog.
• Strong programming background in PySpark and SQL.
• Databricks Certification (Data Engineer Professional, Solution Architect Professional, or ML Professional) is highly preferred.
• Excellent client-facing, pre-sales, and architecture presentation skills.
