About the role
Second Chances Thrift Shop is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to work where “Animal Lovers Go to Save.” The role supports the mission and objectives of the Helotes Humane Society.
Work hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., approximately 20 hours per week. The job is in person at 10671 Shaenfield Rd.
Responsibilities
- Merchandising and inventory control.
- Lift items such as small furniture and boxes with assistance.
- Sort items and interact with customers.
- Assist with donations.
- Ensure the store's physical maintenance, cleanliness and attractiveness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Retail experience preferred; customer service experience.
- Able to lift 30 lbs, bend and stoop.
- Reliable transportation.
- Legal citizen of the United States and able to pass a background check.
- Compassion for animals and commitment to the mission and objectives of the Helotes Humane Society.
