About the role
Children's Network of Hillsborough is committed to working with the community to protect children and preserve families. The Safety Manager supports clients engaged in the dependency system, working with child welfare case management staff to support parental progress in treatment interventions, education, and other supportive services, and to assist in maintaining child safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Support families in completing child welfare-related tasks outlined in case plans and service agreements.
- Encourage families to use formal and informal community supports.
- Monitor safety plans and document observations to ensure family compliance, engagement, and progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, particularly those involving children and family members.
- Participate in case staffings and court hearings as needed, providing relevant updates and professional input.
- Provide administrative support to case managers to support case compliance and safety.
- Maintain reliable transportation and the ability to drive for required field-based activities.
- Assist with shelter placement and transportation needs for children and clients as needed.
- Enter data accurately and on time into automated systems, including FSFN.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and agency goals.
