Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operations by preparing the surgical field and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor patient status and support patient safety throughout procedures.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff to help procedures run smoothly.
• Set up and break down the operating room in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Document relevant patient and procedure information and assist with post-surgical follow-up care.
• Stay current on surgical procedures and best practices.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Experience as a scrub nurse or in a surgical assistance role preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and patient care practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Surgical nursing certifications are advantageous.
• Proficiency with medical software and tools used in surgical settings.

Work Environment

Work closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team and nursing supervisors, communicating clearly to support coordinated patient care in a high-pressure operating-room environment.
