Senior Accountant

About the role

Happy Egg is looking for a Staff Accountant to join its finance team in Rogers, Arkansas. The role works across accounts payable, accounts receivable, weekly and monthly reporting, and month-end close for multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor general ledger accounts, perform month-end close activities, and ensure accurate month-end reporting.
• Generate journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end close and consolidation of multiple entities.
• Process and review accounts payable, including vendor invoice coding, purchase order matching, and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
• Support accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, cash application, and reconciling customer ledgers.
• Support inventory accounting by tracking inventory movements, reconciling physical counts to the general ledger, and researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for Finance and business partners.
• Identify and research variances between actuals and budget or forecast.
• Act as the day-to-day liaison between Finance and functional areas of the Company.

Requirements

• Three to five years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience with month-end close; exposure to multi-entity consolidations is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience working in an ERP system.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
