Job description
About the role
Support the Rhode Island Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), a major initiative involving state and federal healthcare funding.
Tasks
- Financial reconciliations, state and federal reporting, budgeting, compliance, and the development of a new financial and program-management system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong General Ledger experience
- Reconciliations and journal-entry experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP and GASB
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and large datasets
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
- ERP or financial-system implementation, federal grant accounting, 2 CFR 200, Workday, EUNA/eCivis, OpenGov, Power BI, or CPA certification/progress. These are helpful, not all are required.
Schedule
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite + 2 days remote
- 35 hours/week | Day shift
- 1099 contract
