Senior Azure Data Engineer

Requirements

• 6+ Years
• Azure Synapse Analytics and dedicated SQL pools
• COPY INTO, PolyBase, CETAS, OPENROWSET, and external tables
• Azure Data Factory (ADF): parameterized pipelines, Copy Activity, Mapping Data Flows, and triggers
• MPP architecture, distribution strategies, column store indexes, and partitioning
• Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), Parquet, Delta, and CSV
• Data warehousing, star schema, fact and dimension tables, stored procedures, and SCD Type 1/Type 2
• Azure Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and Medallion Architecture
• Unity Catalog, incremental ingestion, and data transformation
• Azure DevOps/GitHub, CI/CD, and version control
• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and pipeline troubleshooting
• Power BI connectivity to Synapse, Import vs. DirectQuery, and performance optimization
• Strong SQL development and performance-tuning skills
• Experience developing and supporting production-grade data pipelines
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Azure and Databricks certifications are a plus
