Senior Bookkeeper

JEM Catering is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their Head Office and Production Facility. This is a senior, hands-on finance position reporting directly to the Managing Director and supporting the financial operations of three group companies. YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE: ✔️ Weekly & monthly financial reporting and management accounts✔️ P&L preparation and financial analysis✔️ Cost and expenditure monitoring✔️ Identifying variances, trends and financial risks✔️ Debtors & creditors management✔️ Bank, debtor & creditor reconciliations✔️ Monthly payroll processing✔️ Financial controls and administration✔️ Oversight of the Finance & Admin Clerk✔️ Working with management, operations and procurement✔️ Liaising with the external accounting team✔️ Supporting audits, reviews and statutory requirements✔️ Improving financial processes and controls WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH: 🔹 Relevant bookkeeping/accounting/finance qualification🔹 5–7 years' senior bookkeeping or finance experience🔹 Strong P&L and management reporting experience🔹 Payroll experience – essential🔹 Strong Excel and accounting software skills🔹 Debtors, creditors and reconciliation experience🔹 Experience supervising finance/admin staff🔹 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills🔹 Excellent attention to detail🔹 A commercial and proactive approach🔹 High integrity and confidentiality🔹 Hospitality, catering, FMCG or high-volume environment experience would be advantageous🔹 Contactable references WORKING HOURS 🕗 Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 🕗 2 Saturdays per month: 08:00 – 14:00 ⚠️ Please note: This is a 100% on-site position.
