Join MzansiAppStore's Co-Founder Program to build locally developed apps and SaaS products that solve real problems in South Africa and support a thriving homegrown digital ecosystem.
This remote-friendly program matches aspiring co-founders to develop, validate, and launch products with meaningful local impact. Opportunities are available for visionaries with an app or SaaS idea, domain experts with industry insight, and influencers who can bring an engaged audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring an app or SaaS idea, an MVP, sector expertise, or social influence to collaborate with matched co-founders.
- Work with your team to develop, validate, and scale a viable product that addresses a South African challenge.
- For idea-led projects, be prepared to share equity, with 20%–50% available for the right partner, and aim to launch on the Mzansi App Store within three months.
- Contribute local knowledge in sectors such as HealthTech, FinTech, education, agriculture, energy, the township economy, AI, and automation.
- Help foster creativity and entrepreneurship in a diverse, cross-functional team.
Qualifications
- Visionaries: Have an app or SaaS idea or MVP that addresses a genuine South African problem, and be willing to partner and share equity.
- Domain experts: Bring deep knowledge of healthcare, finance, education, or another relevant sector. Coding is not required; students, professionals, and side-hustlers are welcome.
- Influencers: Have a social following of 5,000 or more on any platform. An idea is optional.
