Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Join a leading enterprise cloud and data platforms team in Seattle, WA.

Tasks

• Building scalable data pipelines, optimizing high-volume Spark workloads, and designing modern Lakehouse architectures.

Requirements

• Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, advanced SQL
• AWS (EMR, Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena, Lambda) or GCP (Dataproc, BigQuery)
• Medallion/Lakehouse (Bronze/Silver/Gold), Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Star/Snowflake dimensional modeling
• Apache Airflow (DAG development, SLA monitoring, retries), Kafka / Flink
• AQE, Broadcast Joins, Partition Pruning, Shuffle optimization, Z-Ordering
• 5+ years of overall Data Engineering experience (4+ years focused on large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines).
• Proven track record with performance tuning, CDC, and schema evolution.
• Local to the Greater Seattle Area or ready for immediate onsite deployment.
