Job description
I TECH US is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a contract role in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Join a financial services team developing data solutions that support critical business operations and informed decision-making. This is an on-site position reporting to the Data Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL processes to ingest and process data from multiple sources.
- Develop and optimize reliable, high-performance data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
- Partner with data scientists and analysts to turn data requirements into technical solutions.
- Enhance data architecture and warehousing solutions, maintaining data quality and integrity.
- Monitor data flows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure dependable data availability for stakeholders.
- Document technical specifications and best practices to support team knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate industry developments and recommend appropriate tools and technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Expertise with AWS services, including S3, Redshift, and Glue.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong experience building and managing Apache Airflow data pipelines.
- Familiarity with financial services data processing and regulations.
