Senior Director of Quality Faribault

About the role

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Senior Director of Quality to lead quality-related operations within the applicable business unit, including product quality, process quality, and overall business process robustness. The role provides operational leadership to strengthen upstream quality systems supporting new product introductions, with a focus on D/PFMEA development and execution, risk mitigation, and manufacturing readiness. The position reports directly to the General Manager of the Business Unit, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Corporate Vice President of Quality.

The role is a member of the manufacturing BU leadership team and the DAA Quality leadership team, and collaborates with Corporate Quality functions responsible for NPI Quality Assurance, QA programs, Supplier Quality, and QMS.

Responsibilities

• Enhance inspection and testing programs to ensure delivered quality.
• Drive the highest levels of poka-yoke implementation within manufacturing processes.
• Support aftermarket quality management initiatives.
• Lead the Quality Clinic process, including identifying field quality trends, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain required certifications and lead an internal audit program to support compliance, product integrity, and process effectiveness.
• Provide leadership and direction to quality resources across the business unit, with direct responsibility for the quality organization.
• Aid in executing the manufacturing business unit's aggressive growth strategy, which includes significant change.
