Lead best-practice data and file migration from a legacy application to a modern solution.
🔧 RESPONSIBILITIES
# Provide migration solutions; oversee all data and file migration
# Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
# Analyze legacy data/files across varied sources and formats
# Profile data; recommend pre-migration cleansing
# Define migration strategy, mapping, interfaces; run mock and final conversions
# Turn specs into tested applications: programming specs, code, data-driven programs, unit tests
# Troubleshoot issues, incl. implementation, conversion, migration support
# Import/coordinate file migration from heterogeneous platforms
# Define test strategy/plan; ensure data integrity and comparisons
# Perform post-migration audit and reconciliation
# Produce exception reports; cleanse data as needed
# Provide pre/post-conversion business support
✅ MANDATORY
# 7+ yrs developing/documenting ETL for data conversion and migration
# Extensive data migration and planning experience for digital transformation, legacy to modern using ETL
# Extensive Oracle, MS SQL Server, Azure SQL Database experience
# Complex SQL, data analysis, validation, problem solving
# Migrating document attachments from legacy systems
# Cloud DB technologies (e.g., Azure SQL)
# ETL tools: Azure Data Factory, Informatica or similar
# Documentation: ETL mappings, data dictionaries, business cases, migration strategies/plans
# Information management principles, policies, practices
# Master and transactional data concepts and interdependencies
