Senior F5 Load Balancer Engineer

About the role

Support large-scale initiatives in a financial services environment.

Tasks

• Design, implement, and support load-balancing solutions while partnering with application teams, network and security engineers, lines of business, and external vendors.
• Level 3 production support, high- and low-level design work, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and platform lifecycle activities.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on expertise with F5 Networks and VMware AVI
• Solid foundation in network engineering, architecture, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of network and application security, including application flows and dependencies
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, Java, and JavaScript, with network automation experience
• Experience creating high-level and low-level designs for load balancing infrastructure
• Hands-on implementation, or clear handoff documentation and guidance to implementation teams
• Proven Level 3 production support for complex operational issues
• Experience gathering and translating technical requirements from internal stakeholders and lines of business
• Strong documentation skills, including end-to-end design and architecture artifacts
• Experience setting capacity thresholds, workload management plans, and performance monitoring practices
• Experience working with vendors (including F5) to resolve chronic issues, defects, and enhancement requests
• Experience supporting feature enhancements, code certification, and lifecycle management for load balancing platforms

Schedule

• Hybrid (3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)
• 18+ Months Contract

Pay

• $65-$70/hr on W2 (Strictly W2). No C2C, C2H, or 1099
