Senior Food Service Worker

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support cafeteria operations by planning menus, preparing meals, and overseeing food service staff and schedules.
- Order and receive food and supplies, maintain records, and ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP).
- Train team members and manage meal tracking, including verifying student eligibility for free and reduced-price meals.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency preferably supplemented by courses in nutrition, record keeping, and bookkeeping. Successful completion of a minimum of three semester units or equivalent or other school or college-level courses in supervision and completion of a minimum of course in supervision, or the completion of the District's supervision course is preferable. One year of experience in the coordination of the production of 500 meals a day or the coordination of the work of five food service workers may be substituted for the courses in supervision.
- Experience: One year part-time or experience preparing and serving 300+ meals daily, or one year of general clerical experience, preferably in food service.
- Special: Valid 'ServSafe Certificate' issued by the National Restaurant Association or equivalent certificate.

SALARY:
Salary: $22.90 - $25.00 / Hour
