Senior GKE/Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Tasks

• Provision, manage, upgrade and optimize GKE clusters
• Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD and Helm
• Secure clusters through IAM, RBAC, network policies and policy enforcement
• Manage service mesh, secrets, certificates and workload identity
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, security and cost efficiency

Requirements

• 7+ Years
• MANDATORY: HANDS-ON PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE WITH GCP & GKE
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) & Kubernetes
• Terraform – Infrastructure as Code
• Argo CD – GitOps
• Helm Charts
• GCP IAM, Service Accounts & Workload Identity Federation
• Istio Service Mesh & mTLS
• Kubernetes Operators, CRDs & cert-manager
• Network Policies, VPC & Firewall Configuration
• Policy Enforcement – OPA Gatekeeper / Kyverno
• Cluster Autoscaling, Monitoring & Observability
• Preferred: GitHub Actions / CI/CD
• Preferred: Golang for operators and controllers
• Preferred: CKA / CKAD / CKS or Google Cloud certifications
• Preferred: SRE practices, incident response and SLOs
• Preferred: Financial services or regulated-industry experience
• A senior Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or SRE with strong production experience building and operating GKE environments on Google Cloud.
