Senior Mobile Systems Engineer

About the role

Design, develop, and optimize complex mobile systems spanning wearable devices, iOS/Android applications, and distributed backend services.

Tasks

• Design and implement software systems across wearable devices, mobile applications, and distributed backend services.
• Develop high-performance mobile solutions using Kotlin or Swift.
• Troubleshoot complex concurrency issues, including race conditions, thread-safety problems, and deadlocks.
• Optimize CPU and memory usage, latency, and overall system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable software systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall experience, with 7+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience developing mobile products using Kotlin or Swift.
• Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreaded, and event-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of memory management, resource ownership, and concurrency.
• Experience in system architecture, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with wearables, smart glasses, smartwatches, or mixed-reality headsets.
• Preferred: Proficiency in C++ or Rust.
• Preferred: Experience with AI/ML engineering, LLM prompt tuning, model evaluation, tool calling, or AI agent workflows.
