Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

A global, publicly listed Canadian company is modernizing its hybrid infrastructure across corporate datacenters and remote industrial sites.

Tasks

• Lead automation and infrastructure resiliency initiatives
• Build hybrid platforms across on-prem and Microsoft Azure, including Azure Arc
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, PowerShell and Python
• Strengthen monitoring, observability, backup and disaster recovery
• Enable secure, governed platforms for AI workloads

Requirements

• 7+ years in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, platform or systems engineering
• Strong hybrid experience across datacenter and cloud
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure and hybrid management tools (Azure Arc)
• Infrastructure-as-Code, automation and configuration management
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python or similar
• Virtualization, compute, storage, networking and backup
• Monitoring, observability, troubleshooting and incident management
• Large, regulated or multi-site enterprise experience
• DevOps, platform engineering and SRE concepts
• Nutanix AHV, hyperconverged infrastructure or Azure Local (nice-to-have)
• Mining, industrial or manufacturing environments (nice-to-have)
